Great to see the news about the Guitar and Saxophone Festival at UNCW. I agree it was very successful, a lot of great playing and mostly new pieces written for this combination rather than transcriptions. I don&#039;t know about you, but as a composer trying to break a little new ground once in a while, I am not a big fan of constantly re-transcribing the music of the past for new combinations of instruments.

It was also interesting to get your take on guitarists and saxophonists and the mix or personalities. Another aspect I thought was great was the fact that it really was an international festival with Spain, Switzerland, and Holland represented along with the US. 

I am also enjoying the rest of your Blog, some great pictures, etc.
